The Fairview EUB Church was built in 1853. The church building was moved three times and has rested at its present location since 1884. In 1966 Fairview became part of the Stoutsville Charge. In 1968, the Evangelical United Brethren Church merged with the Methodist Church to form the United Methodist Church. Fairview is part of the West Ohio Conference of United Methodist Churches. We are located in the Capitol Area South District. Our District Superintendent is Dr. Henry Stringer. Since 1996, Fairview has been served by a 'Local Pastor.' A local pastor is a specially assigned individual who serves the church in a 'part-time' role. Our current Pastor is Keith Deel, a Licensed Local Pastor. He has been assigned to Fairview since May, 2000. He is currently a student at Methodist Theological School of Ohio. |
